The institution of Khilafat (Caliphate) was prophesied by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, to be reinstated after the coming of the Imam Mahdi, also known as the second coming of Jesus, peace be on him. That individual was the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, peace be on him.

We are now in the era of the 5th Khilafat, whose name is Mirza Masroor Ahmad (left). Divinely guided as per Ahmadi Muslims, the Caliph has been warning the world for more than 10 years, that without adherence to absolute justice, the world is heading for a third world war.
